From the Publisher:
What makes us happy? Psychologists have identified three key elements that contribute to an ongoing sense of well-being: pleasure, engagement, and meaning. so is it possible to live in a way that is likely to increase the level of happiness we experience on a daily basis? Popular author and Time Out for Women presenter Wendy Ulrich offers seven habits to enhance our lives and boost our happiness quotient. With practical ideas for implementing each habit of happiness, she challenges readers to pick one to work into your life and discover new ways to be happy every day.

Review:
If you have followed my book posts from last year on our family blog, you know how much I love these little Time Out for Women book series.  They are short and easy to sit down and read in an hour (or two) and perfect little books for study too.  They offer many different topics by different authors and I can honestly say I have really enjoyed each one that I’ve read.  Habits of Happiness is no different.  The author makes these suggestions:
*Don’t worry about your weaknesses
*Don’t try to get motivated to exercise
*Stop hoping to find friends
*Don’t try to be happy
*Celebrate failures
*Don’t try to get help with your problems
*Don’t endure to the end

It sounds simple enough and confusing from everything else we ‘ve thought we know about happiness at the same time.  How does this work?  The book is short and concise and I love these suggestions and ideas.  This is a great little reference book and would be a perfect gift for anyone who is going through a hard time too.
