Books On My Nightstand

April 16, 2015

My husband is constantly teasing me about my stack of books.  I love writing a book blog because it’s fun to read and review books and I love to share a good book – but I read a lot faster than I review.  Throw in posts about running and life and I am always behind.

I thought it would be fun to skip a throw back review post and share what I am currently reading, what is in that stack on my nightstand.
Miss Burton Unmasks a Prince, Jennifer Moore.
I started this yesterday and I love it.  This is no surprise since I love regency romance.  I really wanted to stay up reading this, but 12 miles on the bike and 5 miles on the treadmill and the 4:45 am alarm clock got the best of me.  I’m looking forward to finishing it soon!

Mary, Martha and Me, Camille Fronk Olson
I wanted to read this during Easter week but ran out of time, but it still is one I hope to get to soon.

The American Heiress, Daisy Goodwin
A friend loaned me this book.  Her husband bought it for her birthday. She enjoyed it. I keep meaning to get to it.  Have you read it?  Is it good?  It looks interesting.

Run Less, Run Faster, Bill Pierce, Scott Murr, and Ray Moss
I’m halfway done with this book.  Which is good since it’s a library copy and probably due soon (or over due).  It’s pretty interesting and has good ideas.

Centsible Meals, Lorae Bowden
I read and reviewed this book on my old blog.  I saw it recently with some cook books and thought it would be a good book to review again.  I am always up for new ways to save money in the kitchen.

Five Kingdoms, Rogue Knight, Brandon Mull
My husband is reading the kids the 3rd book in this series every night at bedtime.  They LOVE it.  Since he reads to the older 3 while I put the little 2 to bed I found myself constantly behind their reading so I usually don’t read along with them.  (Actually they usually read books that I’ve read prior and recommend to them, that way I know what’s in the book and they know they’ll like it because I recommend it to them).  Anyway, I am a book behind.  I’m 1/3 of a way done with this book.

Train Like a Mother, Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea
I currently have too many books loaded on my kindle (if there is such a thing) but this is the book I am currently putting first on the list and reading here and there.  I love these ladies and their running books.
