From the Publisher:
When Molly shows up on Castle Hangnail’s doorstep to fill the vacancy for a wicked witch, the castle’s minions are understandably dubious. After all, she is twelve years old, barely five feet tall, and quite polite. (The minions are used to tall, demanding evil sorceresses with razor-sharp cheekbones.) But the castle desperately needs a master or else the Board of Magic will decommission it, leaving all the minions without the home they love. So when Molly assures them she is quite wicked indeed (So wicked! REALLY wicked!) and begins completing the tasks required by the Board of Magic for approval, everyone feels hopeful. Unfortunately, it turns out that Molly has quite a few secrets, including the biggest one of all: that she isn’t who she says she is.

This quirky, richly illustrated novel is filled with humor, magic, and an unforgettable all-star cast of castle characters.

Review:
Another great book recommended to me by my sister. I always tell her she should be the one to write a book blog (she did write some reviews on my old blog).  The books she recommends to me are always spot on for me.  And this one was no different.  It was such a fun book.

actually think my niece is the one who read this book first.  She reads great books too.  This is a perfect book for her age group.  I think any girl between 8-14 would really enjoy this book.  The heroine is an adorable (scary-wicked) 12 year old girl.  If you have a kid who might want to read Harry Potter and be a little young, this might be the book for them.  It was magic, but not dark.  If you have kids who love dress up and/or Halloween, I think they would enjoy this book too.  If you want to read a fun book – read this one!  It’s great for adults too.

This book was spunky and fun and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at parts.  I don’t know how to describe it, without it sounding crazy. But I was hooked immediately and couldn’t put it down.  I finished it in one day.  I don’t consider myself a huge goth fan, but this is full of gothic characters that you just fall in love with.  It was cleverly written and I really enjoyed it.
