Review:

I picked up this book at the library.  I don’t think I necessarily want to look 25 again…I wouldn’t mind it sometimes, but I might look a little silly 10 years younger with 5 kids.

This book was much more of a “picture” book than The Body Book that I reviewed yesterday.  (This is more along the lines that I thought that book would be like.)  I really loved the pictures and found the book easy to read and understand.  It was a pretty book to look though too.

Some of the tips and ideas that can help you look younger I had never thought about. But the examples really made it so easy to see – I’m not sold on the bangs idea yet (at least for me) , but lipstick shades and fingernail polish….I had never even considered these, but such great tips and these can be such affordable tricks!

Speaking of affordable, while I thought that that this book had some great ideas, I didn’t feel it didn’t have the most practical ideas either….

At the beginning of the book there is a quiz to tell you if you are high, medium or low maintenance. I scored low - surprised?   (You shouldn’t be.)  But really – the book suggests that you are low maintenance if you get Botox.  Ha!  In my world low maintenance would be someone who doesn’t get Botox at all!  Also her prices are just SO high!  $1200 for a pair of reading glasses?  $40 for concealer?  I just don’t live in the same world!

I think it was a fun book to look through.  I am glad I got it at the library.  I’m not sure it was something that I would buy for my library yet – but It wasn’t a bad book either – just not what I was looking for and not as much really applied to me.
