Audio books

I have never been a huge fan of audio books. I’ve tired to listen to books occasionally while running and never really found it enjoyable.  I work a part time job early in the mornings and sometimes I like to listen to a good podcast or two.  Which got me thinking – if I can listen to a podcast, I should be able to listen to a book.  So I decided to give audio books one more try. In the past I’ve usually tried to listen to non-fiction.  So I was wondering if a good fiction book would do the trick?  A Night Divided was available on the audio library, and I’ve heard really good things about it from a good friend.  So I thought I would try it.  I’m hooked!  I find that I can even flip this on my blue tooth and listen to it in the car!

Do you listen to audio books?  Or do you have a hard time listening to them?  I still don’t know if it would hold my attention while running, but it works great while I’m working.  Have any good suggestions?

16 in 16 Challenge Update

January is almost over and I need to get going on some of my books for my 16 in 16 Reading Challenge!  A had a good friend recommend The War that Saved My Life, by Kimberly Brubaker Bradly to me and since it is a NewBerry Honor book as well as named one of Wall Street Journal’s best children’s book for 2015.  I’m LOVING this story and totally counting it towards my “Book that has Won an Award”

This made me laugh.

I’m really curious and can’t wait to start reading!
