This is the cooking method that is going to make your life SO MUCH EASIER!!!

“What’s for dinner?!” is constantly looming in the back of your mind, and I’m here to make the question go away. I have worked for months figuring out, testing, and perfecting 14 amazing healthy REAL FOOD recipes.

On prep day, you toss what you need for the meal in a freezer bag (there’s NO cooking on prep day either! Just toss everything into the bag raw) and pop it in the freezer. On the day you want to make the meal, you simply dump the frozen contents of the bag into your slow cooker and dinner is done! A few of the meals will need you to prep some extra vegetables, rice/pasta, or other sides, but knowing what you are having for dinner makes a few little tasks at dinner time feel easy.

The book comes with vegetarian, chicken, beef, and pork recipes the whole family will enjoy.

Review:

If you know me, you might already know that I am a HUGE freezer meal fan.  With five kids, these babies save my life on busy days.  I love having the freezer stocked full of them.  And when I make them I make big batches, they are convenient to have on hand in case a neighbor is in need or a friend has a baby.  In fact, just last week I was talking to a good friend about making her some freezer meals.  She is about to have her fourth baby in July and I mentioned to her that maybe we should do more slow-cooker freezer meals this time so she doesn’t have to turn on her hot oven.  Then just yesterday another friend post on facebook about her, Melissa’s new freezer meal cookbook, The Busy Mom’s Guide to Freezer to Slow Cooker Meals and I HAD to find out more about it.  I emailed Melissa right away and couldn’t wait to hear back from her.  This is exactly what I have been looking for…tried and true good for you freezer to slow cooker meals!

This book is amazing!  It is full of yummy recipes with real food, they are all “clean recipes” – and they are super easy too! Some I can’t wait to try are : Cranberry-Mustard Pork Roast, Black Bean Chili and Cilantro Lime Chicken with Corn and Black Beans.  Another thing that I love is the shopping list at the end of the book.  Like I said, when I do freezer meals I like to do big batches, but coming up with the recipes and the shopping list is always half the battle!  This shopping list will help cut my time in half!  Each recipe is easy and has a picture (another bonus!)

You can check out Melissa’s book by going to her landing page by clicking here.  She has some great packages she is offering too, I personally would go for the gold and get all three of her ebooks, The Busy Mom’s Guide to Freezer to Slow Cooker Meals, Baker’s Dozen Bread Recipes and Real Food for Real Families.

These books are only offered as ebooks, and only on her website.  But if that worries you, let me tell you my little secret…when I find good ebooks (especially e-cook-books) I print them out and put them in page protectors and keep them in my recipe binder in the kitchen. Easy-peasy and super easy to access and keep clean.

If you haven’t ever done freezer meals and want to get started, this is a good book to start with.  If you love easy freezer meals and just need some new ones to try, this is a great book too!
