Review:
I have been looking forward to this book for so long. I’m a huge Shannon Hale fan, and have loved the other two Princess Academy books. Reading this one makes me want to start over and read them now all in a row. I loved the new characters, Astrid, Felissa and Sus.
I am not sure how to review this book without giving away so much. The ending was just what I wanted and made me happy. The characters were fun and I wanted to cheer them on the whole time. There were a couple characters from other books that were redeemed in this book. That part made me so happy. I think as a third and final book in the Princess Academy books, this one really ends well.
As a side note, I am not a huge fan of the cover of this book. I know this is random, but it’s not my favorite. Princess Academy and Palace of Stone also got new covers. They all three match, but I’m just not a huge fan. I think these new ones will appeal to a younger reader, but I really just liked the old ones. Have you seen the new ones? Which do you perfer?
If you haven’t had a chance to read The Princess Academy or The Princess Academy, Palace of Stone I highly suggest that you read these books. They are fun and enjoyable. I hope Shannon Hale continues to write many more books like these in the future.
