Review:
Recently a friend posted on facebook about this morning routine that she has been doing lately and how it has improved her life.  I checked out the blog and loved the ideas.  She also recommended reading this book.  I immediately knew I would want to read it.

Okay…I didn’t even wait, I found the book on my kindle and started it right away.  I read it late and then got up early to finish it.

I am a big believer in getting up early.  I used to love 7am classes in college.  Then kids and babies happened, and for a couple years I lost my morning routine. But the last two years I’ve got it back.  Running had really pushed me to get it back.  I love getting up early and running. (This past year I also worked a really early job too, so I was waking up early and getting paid for it, which helped establish a habit.)  Now, if I turn my alarm off, I pretty much wake up anyway. It’s pretty rare that I sleep in.  There are just too many things I can get done in the morning, when everyone is asleep and the house is quiet!  I love it.

This book was really motivational and full of inspiration.  I really think the idea of spending a little bit of time each morning doing certain things..praying, meditating, breathing, exercising, writing, can be so beneficial to your health.  I am really excited about this idea and can’t wait to start implementing some of these ideas in my early mornings.  I already get up, I already exercise, but I could really work at spending a little bit of time each morning doing some of these other items.

I think everyone could benefit from reading this book.  I keep suggesting to my husband that he should read it.  He is not a morning person at all!  But that is another thing I love…this book isn’t suggesting that you get up super-crazy-hour early, just an hour before you normally do.  And it even has some ideas on how to do it if you are rushed and don’t have the time for the whole hour.  I just think everyone could really feel so much better facing life after spending a little time each day preparing themselves mentally and physically for the day.

I marked so many passages.  It’s hard to settle on a favorite.  It’s just a motivational read that I loved!

“Our outer world will always be a refection of our inner world.  Our level of success is always going to parallel our live of personal development.  Until we dedicate time each day to develop ourselves into the person we need to be to create the life we want, success is always going to be a struggle to attain.” -page 12

No surprise….Final Score:
