I’m currently taking Crystal Paine’s Make Over Your Mornings 14 day class and blogging every day about it. It’s been so motivating so far. I really hope to establish some good routines and habits before the new year. Follow along every day as I take the class – and if you are interested in taking this class with me, you can find the info here.
First things first – I need to tell you all how I did with the information from Day 4. I LOVED yesterday’s lesson. It talked about making sure we take care of ourselves. We need to fill our own buckets to help fill others. I am a big believer in this – but It’s also something that I am not always good at. So…what does chocolate and a good book have to do with this?
I’ll tell you…
Reading fills my soul. It is one thing that can change my day around. For years on mother’s day I’ve told my family I don’t need presents – I just need an hour or two to myself for reading. I love reading. So when I read yesterday’s lesson about finding something that is a good “reward” for getting out of bed I immediately knew what I wanted to do…I wanted to wake up early and read. It’s one of the only times the house is quiet. I can read scriptures, spiritual thoughts and spend some time in a good book. And it helps me feel so much better going into the day. I know a lot of people love to stay up and read late, but I’m the opposite. Call me crazy. But I was so excited to get up this morning because I knew I had a good book and a chocolate treat a good friend gave me, waiting for me.
Today’s lesson is another subject that I really love – goals. I love that she starts out with this thought: without goals you are aiming towards nothing and nowhere. I spent some time this morning and brainstormed what a couple of my greatest priorities are right now in life: marriage, family, myself, this blog – then I worked on thinking about what goals I could work on for each one of these areas. I am still thinking and brainstorming some good ideas and goals for these areas. I love the printable worksheets! Love them. I’m looking forward to the next couple classes when we get to see where she is going with goal setting and morning routines.
Do you have goals – how do you break them down or work on them?
Are you working on this course? How are you doing?
