I love that this means I can spend time with a comfy quilt, a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. We’ve been using the wood burning stove at night and it makes our house so cozy and comfy too.
Winter also means hot chocolate to my kids…my kids LOVE hot chocolate. We go through so much hot chocolate mix it’s insane. We can buy the Costco size container and it can be gone before we know it. So my favorite is to make up our own.
2 cups sugar (granulated)
1 cup cocoa
2 1/2 cups powdered milk
1/2 cup extra creamy creamer
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 bag of milk chocolate chips, finely chopped
I love to to re-use our mason pint jars to store this – and they can be dressed up so easily. A ribbon at the top, or another easy way to dress it up is if you have extra fabric laying around just cut a square and place it between the lid and ring.
I made these easy labels that work great if you are using wide mouth lids. If you don’t like the label on the top you can always cut these, punch a hole in the top and tie them on with ribbon. This is my first time attaching a document, so hopefully it work. Let me know if you have any problems.
Happy Reading and Happy Winter!
