This morning while I was running I was thinking about my awesome friend Tracy. She is a blogging friend I met about a year ago – and she is also a runner! Tracy is started a running streak and she is on fire! She even got really sick with strep last year and didn’t let that stop her. She has run at least one mile each day for 564 days!!! Amazing!
With the holidays coming up, I really need some extra motivation to keep moving. Plus, running helps me be happier, and with stressful holiday seasons upon us – a happier mommy is always a better thing for my family.
So this year – I am going to attempt to be more like Tracy! I am going to do a Holiday Running Streak. And I want you to join me!
This is how it is going to work. Since I know some of you aren’t runners, but would still want to do something active, I am opening this up to run, walk or move at least one mile every day from the day after thanksgiving to January 1st. I know for me, personally, I don’t run on Sunday. So I will walk a mile on Sundays. And run at least one mile the other 6 days of the week. If you aren’t a runner, walk. If you aren’t a walker, do your favorite workout for at least 20 minutes a day. Just make sure you do something every day!
