Join me for the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon

September 11, 2017

I’m so excited!  This year has been rough on my reading list and I’m way behind where I’m usually at.  But the fall weather is here – and my marathon training is over – so I think I’ll finally have time and be in the mood to finish some great book on my TBR list.

I’m participating in a fun little challenge this month put on by  Wishful Endings, called Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon.. It runs from September 11th (TODAY!!) through the 24th with the goal of diminishing our to-read pile of books. All books in any format and source count and you do not have to be a blogger to participate. There are challenges and giveaways as well. You can sign up through September 23rd. Find out more and sign up here!

My goals for the read-a-thon are to read at least 3-4 out of my nonfiction pile. I’ve been eyeing the books all day and can’t decide where to start.

When Breath Becomes Air by [Kalanithi, Paul]

I started When Breath Becomes Air on my kindle the morning of my race, and think I’d like to finish that book as well. Everyone says I will love it – but I’m just wondering if it’s too close to home, or how it will settle with me.

As far as fiction, I have SO many books I’ve started that I want to finish, or even just start!  I really want to take the time to finish Josi Kilpack’s new book, All That Makes Life Bright. I’ve read the first two chapters- but I just haven’t made time to sit down and really enjoy this book.  I’m hoping it love it as much as Josi’s other Historical Proper Romance books.

Overall – my goal is to read between 4-5 books total.

I can’t wait to get started and be part of this challenge.  Want to join me?

I just finished another book this morning! I need to post an update blog – I’ve been better at just tagging it in instagram 🙂 It’s been fun to focus on getting some reading done! Thanks!
