Review:

I love spring time!  It’s full of birthdays and brings warm weathers.  We get to plant flowers and get our garden ready. And it brings Easter!  Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  And we don’t do the Easter Bunny.  My kids get baskets, and we have a lot of fun with the holiday, but they know that those come from mom and dad and I hope that through all the fun that they always remember the real meaning of Easter.

Last year I posted some of our families favorite Easter books and I’ll be sharing those on Facebook throughout next week.  But today I can’t wait to share with you one of my new favorite Easter books.  The Holy Week.

This book is packed full of activities and spiritual lessons that can help teach your family during the holy week of Easter.  I love the ease of this book. I was a little worried it would be pretty similar to another of my favorite Easter books, A Christ Centered Easter. (click for my review).  That book is such a great resource!  And I still love it and will still use it for reference.  But this book has amazing pictures and ideas!  One of my favorite things that I love about this book are the QR codes included in every day.

Each day covers a lesson and has a scripture, song ideas and activities.  When you scan the code it takes you to videos you can watch together as a family.  I think this is a genius idea!  I don’t always have time for the most amazing or hands on craft, but with this I don’t even have to think.  We can do this every night at dinner, or even every night at bedtime.  It’s perfect for a daily reminder about Easter.

I have been reading through this book this week and can’t wait for tomorrow so we can start some of the activities and stories as family.  It will be the perfect addition to our family traditions that we already have.  Easter is such a special time.  And I am glad I can take the opportunity to share my testimony and thoughts with my children and teach them this week.

It’s not too late to grab a copy of this book on Amazon, or you can buy it at Deseret Book too!
