March is a great month! It’s birthday month!

Today my oldest turns 12!  I have such mixed feelings about him growing up.  I get to register him for Jr. High this week, and I’m a little bit sad!  He is a great kid, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it if someone found out a way to slow time 🙂

I also have a birthday in March:)  I love having my birthday in March, I love spring.  I love seeing winter melt away and the sun come back out. It means flowers will bloom. It means we can get our garden ready to plant.  It means the kids can spend countless hours in the backyard!  I also love spring because it means warmer temperatures so I can ditch the treadmill (at least on the weekends) and run outside again!

To celebrate my birthday around here I thought it would be fun to host a series of giveaways.  Each week I have a special giveaway planned – a few of my favorite things.  I also have a couple of book blog tours I’m part of this month too, and have some other great books to share with you in between.  You won’t want to miss anything this month – so check back often!

Amber is a blogging friend I made last year and I have really enjoyed getting to know her.  She blogs over at “Watch This Mom“ is a mom to 4 boys and is a talented author.  I have no idea where busy mom’s find time to write – but I’m glad they do…because I love reading their books!

Being a mom is one of my absolute favorite things!  I don’t just think you have to give birth to be a mom – I think all women can be mothers.  I think there is SO much to be said about the influence of a good mother.  That’s why for my first giveaway I’m going to give a copy of Amber’s book away! (If we ask nicely, Amber might sign it for you too!)
